Tell Senator Toomey to Protect Medicaid
A few weeks ago, the House of Representatives passed the American Health Care Act (AHCA), a bill that would slash Medicaid funding by $834 billion over the next ten years, eliminating Medicaid expansion and turning the crucial program into a block grant or per capita cap, which would hurt low-income children, seniors, people with disabilities, and people seeking treatment for addiction.
Now it’s the Senate’s turn to draft a healthcare bill. Your Senator, Senator Patrick Toomey, is a member a working group of 13 Republican Senators tasked with crafting the Senate version of the AHCA. Sign NETWORK’s petition and tell Senator Toomey oppose any legislation that dismantles Medicaid. We need your signature by Friday, June 16.
The signed letter will be delivered to Senator Toomey’s offices in Washington D.C. and Harrisburg, PA.
If you have a personal story about how you benefit from Medicaid, don’t forget to share it here!
Know that by signing this petition, your name and city will be shared with Senator Toomey and might be included in local media outreach.
